Tim Smith
President
Tim Smith started Fairway Asset Management in January of 2007.

Tim spent the first 10 years of his career working for Merrill Lynch, Smith Barney and Wachovia. After 10 years in corporate America, Tim thought he could do better for his clients if he were to start his own firm.

Now instead of working to achieve a large firm's goals, he is a fiduciary whose sole purpose is to help his clients achieve their goals.

Over the past 27 years, Tim has worked with over 500 families. That equates to tens of thousands of conversations about money, happiness, risk and retirement. He now uses this knowledge and wisdom to help a select group of families manage their money and their risk so they can live a more inspiring, worry-free life.

TJ Smith
VP Public Relations
After spending 9 years as a Realtor, TJ wanted to have more of an ongoing relationship with his clients instead of a one-time transaction. He wanted to combine his previous background as a personal trainer and his 9 years as a realtor to help people improve their financial lives.

Now TJ helps coach people after they sell their house to help them make the best use of the proceeds from the sale of their biggest asset. He also coaches them to help them improve their spending and their income.

TJ is very disciplined and is an out of the box thinker. He enjoys holding people accountable and challenging them so that they can reach their full potential.
Halena Shinn
Client Liason
Halena joined Fairway Asset Management in 2009. Before joining Fairway, she worked for Advent Software, in the portfolio management and performance reporting division.

Halena now helps onboard new clients, and helps existing clients with their Schwab accounts. Halena also keeps track of many client details, (like when it is time to take their required minimum distributions from their retirement accounts.)

Halena is very detail oriented and never lets anything slip through the cracks. If there is anything to remember, Halena will remind you when it is time to take care of what needs to be done.
